We’re calling for greater recognition of the significant role local government plays in reducing emissions in the Climate Commission’s advice on the second Emissions Reduction Plan. LGNZ and Taituarā are recommending that local government is directly involved in the development of the second ERP to make sure councils’ roles in delivering and supporting many of the actions is understood.
